Walking after Christmas

In a bid to break through the seasonal torpor driven by, cold, wet, windy weather, long dark nights and (ahem) the occasional glass of beajolais we went for a walk to the nearby Erewood Hall.

Long dark nights do have one advantage, golden hour and decent sunsets happen at civilised times of the day.

You can see the path we took around the ruins of Erewood Hall and then down to the upper reaches of the River Goyt in this video.

Anyway, that was a few days ago. At the moment Buxton is covered by 6in (15cm) snow. So walking off the table foe now amd we're down to the Smoke.
